Friday 3/26/10 - "SILENCE"

FLASH FICTION FRIDAY 55

"SILENCE"

Silence
Hushed hallowed space
Outside sounds all around
Of birds and breezes
Of running in the rain

Inside total silence reigns
Exquisite interior quiet
Peace and prayer exist
There in that universal union
One with God

All is still, sweet silence
No note, no tune, no word
Just miracle muted music pure
Love's power sure

PG...
It's obvious where you get your inspiration.
Every one of your stories reads like a beautiful prayer.

Thanks for playing today, and have a Quiet but Kick Ass Week-End!!

I like the silence after a snow. Luckily, there isn't any snow forecast.

That's a lusciously quiet meditation, with a stunning photo, too. I can almost hear the faint tones of a violin.

Hey PG...this poem is EXCELLENT! I am happy to see you are inspired once again to write your "55" in that genre. Actuall I loved it--I love silence, except for key-sounds tapping in front of my computer.

PEACE. Love.

Great one PG. I can always remember snow muffling the sound of things. Blessings.

I heard background music with this one. I believe it was Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze". Beautiful.
