"PALS"

"PALS"

"I'm so glad we're Pals"
"We think alike."
"Let's just sit here together and watch - - forever."
"The sun feels so warm on my skin."
"Move closer, puppy"
"Glad we found this spot."
"Glad we found each other."
"Contentment, serenity, peace - it doesn't get any better than this."
"Love is.........."
"Best Friends Forever"
"If you wag your tail and give me a lick, I'll give you a big hug."
"Hey, I think I see something!"
"I don't ever want to grow up."
"There's room for one more."
"Move over, let me in"
"Shh, Listen, Look"

Today was my 2nd day on the volunteer job "on my own". I must admit to some anxiousness this weekend prior to going this morning (Monday). This reminds me of learning to ride my scooter, excitement and trepidation. I just have to "doit" and the more I "doit", the more confident I will become. I realize that no two days at this job will be the same, but I can at least get some basic patterns established that will help me.

There is such beauty in having the opportunity to pray with people. When I am nervous, it's hard to remember to let God guide the prayer. The more comfortable I become, the more I can allow Him to lead me.

I am trying to "take it easy", do the best I can, keep my perfectionism and ego in check, and keep this endeavor "turned over" to my God.

Sounds like you're doing a pretty good job of hanging in there. Keep up the Go(o)d work :)

Laying in bed this morning I was thinking how I really can't do this "thing" called life without God in the lead. I've tried for too long to do it myself and I keep messing things up.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

I like the puppy licks and the thoughts on friendship. There is a lot to be thankful for.

My husband has the most awesome amend story that involves a puppy. His sponsor made him do the hardest amend on his list first and God sent him a puppy to show him everything was gonna be ok.

For me, I have 2 black labby type dogs who have been a great relief to me for the last 8 years of my life, they have been constant unwaivering unconditional love givers...

They even gave me a spiritual awakening about God and what I really wanted in a Higher Power.

God has moved through them to teach me many lessons... patience, love, kindness, tolerance... Even at my very ugliest and nastiest moments they can come up and rest their heads on my lap and look at me with the big brown eyes and just be with me...
