Tuesday 10/12/10 - "USHERING IN THE SEASON" - A Magpie Tale

A MAGPIE TALE

(Magpie Tales are hostessed by Willow. Click here to read more.)

"USHERING IN THE SEASON"

The leaves are dying - one by one they fall
From the lowest and the trees most tall

But fires begin to burn with a warming birth
And round those harvest fires bloom lots of mirth

Autumn is the time that brings the kiddies out
In costumes, candy laden bags and lots of shouts

October ushers in a season like in years gone past
With daughter's birthday
then Halloween
Thanksgiving
Christmas
and New Years Eve at last

it's a sort of countdown for me too - what's next and next... I do this more in autumn than at any other time of year. Nice poem
