Friday 6/25/10 - "PRESCRIPTION"

FLASH FRIDAY 55

"PRESCRIPTION"

Life on a deserted island sounds good, but I need others.

My prescription for living life with people:

Memorize, meditate on the "Serenity Prayer".
Mind my own business.
Keep the focus on myself; my shortcomings, my spiritual growth.
Forgive often.
Create straight, strong boundaries with smooth, soft edges.
Do the next right thing.
Pray ceaselessly.

I love what you say about boundaries especially. I have been so rigid at times and need to remember to have soft edges.

I'm not a recovering addict but I always take great comfort in the Serenity prayer. Wonderful 55!

I have been told my level of serenity is reversely proportionate to my level of expectation. My 55 is HERE .

PG, If "my" island had looked like that, I'd probably not have got off those 40 years ago (hermit story).

Your "55" IS how you live--I can vouch for that.

Like Hope stated, I love what you said about boundaries - straight and strong, but smooth and soft. What a great prescription...one that you don't have to worry about the insurance company denying either!
