Friday 10/1/10 - "LIAR! LIAR!" - Flash Fiction Friday

FLASH FICTION FRIDAY 55

"LIAR! LIAR!

Remembering the childhood chant:
Liar! Liar! Pants on Fire!

Wonder how many burned butts are hidden
under all those pairs of pants walking around!

Little white lies probably won't mar the spirit in any permanent way.

But those big black lies will twist and cripple the soul.

Liar! Liar! Ask forgiveness from God on Higher!

lies hurt the ones who tell them more then the ones being told i think. we don't have to live with the ick inside. great 55

The burned butts hidden under pants made me smile. My mother always used the old adage, "Liars have to have good memories" and that is so very true. It's really not worth it in the end, the truth has a way of coming out whether the liar likes it or not.

I think some people actually like the lick of the flame.

White liars, black liars, umm -- much to ponder on in 55 words. It always amazes me when my adult friends tell "white lies" it seems so childish and obvious, I often wonder what they are thinking, but then again I don't what to go there either. sigh!

Carry on, there is hope for us.

Cheers,
Joanny

Deep and AWESOMELY true!!! When we lie we create so much trouble. The truth is always the way to go. It sets us free!!!

Yee-ikes. My mama told me to never lie. She said the truth would always come out. Besides the truth is so much easier to remember. Great 55, OPG.
