MAY - 5/28/13

MAY

Blessed seasons' crowning glory

May

springing hills repeating
endless textures shades
lush grasses weaving waving

feathery
velvety
palm-tickly

kaleidoscopic colors
pale apple
bright succulent lime
deep emerald-dropped slopes

Interruptions
patch-quilted

LACE

woven through
fit for a

QUEEN

of the

MAY

OLN week #98

After spontaneously posting last week's OLN poem, "I Don't Remember",  I realized that the likely inspiration was my May birthday. Being in the mountains of Virginia and Tennessee at this moment, the impetus for this poem, is nature's birthday gift to me.

My birthday is in May too - and that's not the only reason I love it. Here in Scotland we get wonderful long evenings from May through July, which helps to make up for the long, dark winters.

Queen Anne's Lace :) When I let my cilantro bloom, it looks just like that...nice poem!

Now I wish to lay amongst them:
" . . . lush grasses weaving waving . . ."

A most aesthetic piece . . . I felt every breeze came through your piece.

Cheers!

Nature's gifts are every day. Your special birthday gifts of mountain scenes and tripping memories are inspiring--
that God's gifts are there
whether or not i be aware
always and forever...
