This is just a temporary "Goodbye". I made a personal executive decision to leave my computer at home. I want to devote 100% of my time, mind and spirit to events as they unfold during our trip to the International Alcoholics Anonymous Convention in San Antonio, Texas. I'll return to blogging when I get back.
We'll be leaving at the crack of dawn tomorrow and will be in Houston tomorrow night. We hope to meet a couple of bloggers there.
Wednesday we'll drive to San Antonio where we will participate with the maybe 50,000+ other recovering people at the convention. This will be a first for me and I am excited.
Our return flight is Monday, July 5th which just happens to be my 25th AA Anniversary. Hurray! Hurray! I'll be "flying high" that day. :)
God bless, Prayer Girl

Life on a deserted island sounds good, but I need others.
My prescription for living life with people:
Memorize, meditate on the "Serenity Prayer". Mind my own business. Keep the focus on myself; my shortcomings, my spiritual growth. Forgive often. Create straight, strong boundaries with smooth, soft edges. Do the next right thing. Pray ceaselessly.

I'm sober in AA since July 5th 1985, and a grateful member of Alanon since November 2004.
I joined the "blogosphere" in September, 2008.
In December 2011 I became a grandmother for the first time and now understand why it's such a big deal. I'm wildly in love again with that little guy.
